Biography

For the past ten years I've been a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force, which has provided opportunities for me to meet interesting people and see the world. I've been deployed to the Middle East, Southwest Asia, and also have been up near the North Pole a couple of times on short re-supply missions. It wasn't until 2004 that my first book was published, a kids, action/adventure, Lost Ark Found (2005). I was inspired to write it while deployed for six-months in the Golan Heights (Israel/Syria) working as a UN Peace Keeper. Initially, I read it to my preteen kids over long distance phone calls to entertain them while I was away for so long. My second book, A Silent Violence, was published in 2008. Much of this, as well, I wrote while I was on tours with the Canadian Armed Forces. My third book, a novella, Dance With Me, was just released as an e-book in March 2011, and is now available, in full, through most online e-book stores. My next book, In Heaven, is still in progress.

What is your e-reading device of choice?
I use the Blackberry Playbook.
Describe your desk
The desk I usually work at is L-shaped, with two computer monitors, and a PC tower on it. There's a small color printer/scanner off to my right. To my left are three plastic shelves, crammed with papers, an old coffee mug overflowing with pens, a cordless phone, and a large crystal stone I found in Alert, near the North Pole (I use it as a paperweight to keep several file folders upright). Close to my elbow is an empty coffee cup I just finished drinking.
