Ross Ellis

Biography

Ross Raphael Ellis studied Film and Television Production in the Bray Institute of Further Education for three years. There he honed his skills in two different fields; editing and screenwriting.

After achieving his diploma Ross moved to Toronto for nine months and became friends with writer/director Paul Neary. The pair worked on several shorts for independent company 'Clearlight Films' but it wasn't until they both moved back to Dublin that they completed two notable pieces. 'Confession' the tale of a priest`s crisis of faith after hearing a gangster`s confession and 'Soldier' the last remaining moments of a soldier`s life amid the serenity of nature moments before death comes visiting. The latter has recently been accepted into festivals in London and Toronto.

Ross returned to college to finish his degree and having stepped away from writing for years,
Ross started what would become his first book. It was his brother Scott who convinced him to traverse the self publishing route amid articles detailing the success of authors who had previously been shunned by traditional publishers. 'Sleepwalkers', which had led a previous life as a rough screenplay, became Ross`s sole project and after months of rewrites, edits and tweaks is now ready to be launched.
