Roy Bentley is an author and illustrator of children's books for younger readers.
Starting as an artist and cartoonist for a number of newspapers and magazines, Roy progressed to supplying illustrations to both music and children's books for a variety of publishers.
During that period he experimented with writing his own stories. These started being published in 1980.
During the '80's seven books were published in both hardback and paperback editions. Some were broadcast on television, distributed as video productions and translated into foreign language editions.
