Roy Bentley

Biography

I am a free-lance author, illustrator, artist and cartoonist working near London, England.
My artistic training started at school with a very good art teacher and completed with foundation and sculpture courses at Hornsey College of Art. Since then it has been practice, practice practice!
I started commercial artwork (more years ago than I care to admit) as the resident cartoonist and illustrator on my university newspaper.
I progressed to providing artwork for greetings cards and cartoons and illustrations for trade newspapers and magazines.
Subsequently I illustrated childrens books for a number of publishers.
This led on to the opportunity to write seven childrens books which were self illustrated.
Recently I have re-started my writing efforts and will be ePublishing a number of self illustrated childrens story books in the near future.
