  • The Queen Bee of Bridgeton (Dancing Dream #1) on April 16, 2011

This is a book that keeps you glued to it till the end. Very well-written. Just felt a little rushed at the end. This the first one of Leslie's books that I have read and I look forward to more!
  • Ain't No Sunshine on Sep. 25, 2011

I got a copy of this book as part of the member giveaway. I loved the first one I got (Queen Bee) and wanted to see what this one would be like. Well I liked it but probably not as much as Queen Bee of Bridgeton. In this one, the author takes on a very serious issue. It addresses the way african american people were treated in the past. It looks at this issue from the point of view of a young white boy. I loved the way the main character Stephen narrates the story. The end disappointed me a bit as it seemed a little contrived.. as if the author was rushing to end the story and tie up all loose ends. Over all a good one time read
  • The Queen Bee of Bridgeton (Dancing Dream #1) on Sep. 25, 2011

This is a book that has nothing new yet it keeps you engrossed till the end. The book focusses on the issue of high school cliques and the story of a girl who tries to fight back. The story line is similar to novels/movies that use this theme. Yet, it is well written and the main character is interesting.
  • Guardian of Eden on Sep. 25, 2011

This is the best of the three books that I have read fromm this author. Guardian of Eden is the story of a brother and sister duo Garrett and Eden, who have survived through hard times by depending on each other. Now when they feel things are improving and they can have a good life, disaster strikes.. Garrett has to decide on what is the right thing to do.. Kill the person who hurt his sister .. or let law take care of it.. An excellent read..
  • Shelter (Blood Haze: Book One) on Sep. 25, 2011

Shelter is a one- time read. The auhwthor has made a good attempt at writing a young adult novel and it has all the necessary elements a love triangle, action, romance.. What irks me is the way the main character falls in love with someone she has just met and knows nothing about.
  • Gifts and Consequences on Sep. 25, 2011

I received this book as part of the Member Giveaway and loved it.. This is the story of Jonathan who is a billionaire. He wants to help people out on behalf of his wife Susan who believed a lot in philantrophy. However, he does not believe in free gifts. What Jonathan does is offer people the one thing they want but in turn expects then to do something in return. If they break the deal they are expected to face severe consequences. This is a very well-written book that makes you connect to it right from the first chapter... Way to go Daniel..
  • Effie At The Wedding on Nov. 29, 2011

This was a very odd little story When I read the summary I thought it might be an interesting story .. But I was disappointed.. A very childish story that I read in abt 5-7 minutes
  • The Devil of DiRisio (Dancing Dream #2) on Nov. 29, 2011

I have read almost all of Leslie's novels.. And though this story may not rate ammng her best it was a nice interesting continuation to the story of Sonya Garrison who is a ballet dancer.. She seems to have everything that she wants.. A position in a famous dance school.. The perfect boyfriend Will who moved to Italy just to be with her .. Yet everything is not well and Sonya finds herself unable to cope with ballet school as she feels she is too fat and won't be chosen for the ballet company.. She also keeps saying no whenever will asks her to marry him... Enter Damian Karl a top hip hop dancer who is a playboy but she seems to find herself drawn to him.. Who will she choose Can't wait to read the next volume!!

  • After Ten on April 08, 2012

This is an interesting book. The author has written about 4 college friends who promise to meet 10 years after their graduation to see if they were able to achieve their goals. Each one of them has had some successes but each one has her own troubles and this reunion gets them to face these issues head on and rediscover what made them friends.
