I enjoyed Vigilante and The Consultant very much even though they could use some editing. This one was a big disappointment Not only was it poorly edited, the entire premise was faulty regardless of the ending. A priest, doctor, lawyer or psychiatrist is ethically and in most cases legally obligated to report a client who poses a danger to themselves or someone else. The editing was much worse than the previous books. I kept trying to get past all this but in this case I couldn't. This book needs a complete rewrite to keep it from damaging this authors future sales.

I really enjoyed this one. It kept me on the edge of my seat and I didn't put it down from start to finish. Improved editing from that of previous books and not much recall of past books in the series.(Yes!) Chris Barry is a little too good to be true, but what adventure hero isn't?

I followed this story on the Bad Luck Detective Blog and am thrilled to see it all in one edition for my Kindle.
I am amazed as I read it again that a woman in her mid-forties had the guts to take her future in her hands and assign herself such an incredibly difficult series of tasks to qualify for the academy, then had the determination and stamina to reach her goal of becoming a police officer.
People suffering from a mid-life crisis are too apt to throw their present life away in hopes of finding a better one. Suzie kept her family and marriage intact and changed the hardest thing in life to change; herself.
I highly recommend this book. It is hilarious, heartwarming, sad and uplifting. I hope some young, middle-aged or old person out there reads it and is inspired to dig up the courage to go after and work to achieve their dreams.
Great job Suzie! A wife, mother and now a police officer and author, what next?
