'Daughters are Diamonds' is a groundbreaking study on the objectification of women in honour-bound, traditionalist societies. The study asks questions about the failures of democracy in protecting minority rights, especially those with regard to women. It looks in particular at the case study of Indian Muslim women in South Africa.

Belly of Fire is an anthology of writing that draws on stories from women and men who navigate everyday stigma and social issues. Themes of abuse, xenophobia, female genital mutilation, forgiveness and reawakening are unpacked here in a collection of evocative poetry and compelling short stories
