Justin Mitchell

Biography

Born 2/28/1979 in Cedar City, UT. Currently residing with wife in Bullfrog, UT as an IT for Aramark. My wife and I are Vegans, which you might have guessed if you read Shalilayo. I love to write science fiction, compose music, dabble in electronics, explore caves, program and design web sites. My greatest hope in life is to see humans take the next step into sentient awareness and become a welcome species in the galactic neighborhood. The greatest part of my life is my wife, Marlaine, who has been with me for more lives than just about anyone else. If you are familiar with the character named Riah in Shalilayo, you will have an insight to what kind of person Marlaine is.

Thank you for such a wonderfully written book! I have sent the demo to some family in hopes that they will learn some of the pearls of wisdom scattered throughout your novels and find true happiness with another person. I have to confess, I am hooked on your stories. I've read most of them now and they have really brightened up my life. I figure you took the time to write these novels, the least I can do is write my reviews for each of your stories. The Ghost Piper was one of my favorite stories so far. I felt very happy and optimistic after finishing this novel. Learning the art of storytelling is certainly an accomplishment, but telling a story that truly inspires people to better themselves is a rare gift indeed. Thank you very much for the time and effort you put into this novel! Justin

This story was written to perfection. If your heart doesn't fill up close to bursting with love by the end of it, you should have a physical checkup with your doctor to make sure you aren't missing any organs. Thanks again for the wonderful story! Justin

This was definitely one of my top tens. The things humans do to each other can be absolutely horrifying. I often wish I had the ability to put an end to the most repugnant of human crimes. This book shows you a world where someone did have that power. Thank you very much! Justin

I had a lot of fun reading this story. I love how you do not make your main characters take horrible punishment from the antagonist before the final climax. Making a story based on constant suffering and loss is not appealing to me at all, and Prudence has a great talent for always keeping her stories positive throughout the narrative. Thanks again for another splendid story! Justin

Up to this point I had not read any of your scifi/fantasy novels. I am very impressed with how you can write in two separate genres and be great in both of them. This book showed a lot of your knowledge and experiences throughout your life in regards to the UFO/alien phenomenon. It is obvious that you have spent a lot of time pondering the possibilities of what might be outside of our little world. I really enjoyed the light banter and friendship between the characters while still creating a very serious event that was not out of balance with the story. The story is told exceptionally well. I hope others who read this story will see the depth of knowledge that was used to write this novel. Thank you very much for another excellent story! Justin

Another excellent book! I absolutely loved the world of the Elade. The art of living with your world instead of just taking from it is wonderfully expressed. The story started with excitement and never slowed down. I love the accurate portrayal of our political system and the vipers that infest our world's governments. I very much enjoyed this story! Thanks! Justin

I was so excited to see a new story after I finished the last of your other novels. I was definitely not disappointed. This book was so wonderfully written, I felt like I was actually part of the story. Grandma Elsie was absolutely perfect. She is the icon everyone wishes for a grandmother, who accepts who you are even when she strongly disagrees with your decisions. I really got a good laugh when reading about gap-toothed Bob, as I think he moved over to our neck of the woods. I wish I would have broken the reading up a bit so I still had more to read, but you have a habit of making that very hard. Thank you so very much for another amazing story! Justin PS. Now hurry and crank out another one!

Another beautifully written novel! The story is very captivating and makes you feel like one of the characters. The character's names were very cool too. I started this book in the morning, and couldn't put it down until I finished it in the evening. If you ever need instructions on making a relationship work, this book is for you. I am so glad I stumbled onto this author's work; she has created an atmosphere of positive energy that flows through all of her books and leaves you feeling better about the world when you finish. Thank you, once again, for the wonderful stories! Justin

I couldn't put this book down! This will definitely make it into my top 20 list, (top 10 is no longer sufficient). This story shows one of the most tragic circumstances in our world; the violence of an abusive spouse. With her natural affinity to positive energy, Prudence MacLeod turns a ruined life into a dream come true for Mary Hope. I was very sad when I reached the final page. I am definitely looking forward to more from this author! Thanks for the great story! -Justin

This book has it all; you laugh, cry, love, and then love even more. You can't help loving these characters and feeling their fears, hopes, dreams, and above all, love. I was completely enraptured from the moment I started reading until I regretfully finished. It thrills me that this is just the first book in a series of five. You could make a whole quote book with all of the poignant quotes that are tastefully scattered within these pages. I found myself highlighting sentences and paragraphs regularly. This book is SO worth reading! Thank you very much for the wonderful stories! -Justin

This story really got me thinking about life, the universe, and everything... It shows both sides of human nature, and helps to give the reader a glimpse at which side of human nature they are on. I always finish Prudence MacLeod's books with a desire to be a better person, and this one really brought that feeling home. The world really needs more good people to stand up for those who cannot stand on their own, and Calan does a splendid job of showing us how. I'm excited to see what's next! Thank you very much for the wonderful story!

This is a fantastic book, with an amazing bundle of insights into lives most people never see. I nearly went crazy with frustration because I was interrupted so much while reading this novel. This book didn't lack any of the pearls of wisdom Prudence spreads liberally in her stories. I hope anyone reading this review will also read the book, so they can see and participate in the wonderful world of Prudence MacLeod!
