Smashwords Interview

What do you read for pleasure?
That is easy - Almost everything I can get my hands on but I prefer series. I love to get to know the characters and find out what is going to happen to them next. Right now I'm reading Jim Butcher's Dresdin and Fury series. I have a goodreads account to keep track of all the different books I read and what I like.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a small town in the Okanagan of British Columbia Canada. I was the fourth generation on my father's side to grow up in Enderby, BC. In most parts of the world that isn't a big deal but out here in Western Canada four generations in one spot tends to be. Not many deep roots out this way.

I'd be surprised if my small town up bringing didn't effect my writing. I think my Western Canadian culture, my parents, and my 1st world perception of the global village effects my writing a great deal.
