Kelly Byrne
Biography
I was born in Potsdam, NY and grew up in several small towns around that area, but Los Angeles has been my home on and off for the last 17 years.
I’ve traveled extensively throughout the country and lived in a good number of places on both coasts. Great fodder for writing let me tell you.
As is the case with some writers, my occupations have been many and varied: I’ve been a stand-in on films, a ski and snowboard instructor, an office manager for a real estate company, a front desk manager at a hotel, a waitress, and an assistant video editor for television.
I’m currently a personal trainer with fitness bootcamps (BYRNE-IT BOOTCAMP) in the Hollywood/North Hollywood area of Los Angeles.
I’ve also, gasp! made a living as a writer for a couple years. Looking forward to that business again, for sure. In the meantime, I’ve found new love and purpose in being a personal trainer and enjoy inflicting my special kind of (loving) pain on my bootcampers in the wee hours of the morning.
Most weekends you’ll find me either reading, writing, playing with my furry daughter, Lucy, or torturing myself with another brutal Crossfit WOD.
