Shyam Mael
Biography
I'm a researcher, multimedia artist, and activist working mainly in print, digital (audio and visual), and wood (contemporary sculpture and sculptural furniture). I'm based in the UK, I like heights, cooking for crowds, and wild green spaces; dislike cities, the combination of ignorance and self-satisfaction, and pink toilet tissue.
Psyclone, my first novel, is the literary component of a multimedia project that includes film and music content scheduled for release later in the year. Outside of the Psyclone project is a modern-day adaptation of a Hans Christian Anderson story, also scheduled for release later in the year, and a work-in-progress screenplay. Themes such as freedom of information and human potential, which characterise my work, are explored and developed in the Psyclone project, my most extensive project to date.
