I am a voracious reader of romance, and Marsha Canham has long been my favourite author. Even in these early works she exhibits the ability to finely balance historical fact, fiction, action, romance, description and dialogue.
Summer (the heroine) initially comes across as vapid and selfish but rapidly matures into a worthy heroine. Morgan (the hero) is dark, delicious and a touch arrogant but nevertheless is a hero worth imagining.
This is a well-written, well-paced book and should be on every romance reader's 'Must Read' list.
A great read! The many twists and turns in the plot keep the reader guessing who the villain might be. There are definitely a few moments in this where you might tear up on the inside. I started this at 1am (bad idea) and didn't get to sleep until 3am.
One of my Canham favourites, which is saying something as she is my favourite romance writer. Brenna is a feisty heroine that a reader can really get behind, and Gryffin is, quite frankly, yummy.
A colourful cast of supporting characters and a well-paced plot completes this gem. Well worth every penny.
