I really enjoyed this book because I found myself relating to this teenage boy and his struggle to not only honor his friend's wishes but to take some type of revenge on society for so obviously diminishing he and other children's basic freedom by cloning them without their permission and in his friend's case against his express wishes in order to satisfy their own selfish desire. While he knows that in the end he cannot reverse the trend, he can fight his hardest to bring justice to his friend even though he knows the easiest thing to do would be to let his friend live unencumbered by the knowledge that he is a clone and to simply have a best friend again. To forget that he died and not have to deal with that grief. In his decision to face these emotions and honor his friend's wishes, he proves himself much braver and stronger than the adults who chose to bury their grief rather than dealing with it.
