The Battle of Wildspitze
on April 21, 2011
I liked this story a lot, although the brevity surprised me. The exposition or world-building was probably long compared to the overall length of the story, but with the action involved before the main battle, it was enjoyable. I don't read a lot of steampunk tales, so the mix of real place names technological worries, and fantastical elements was a little disconcerting to me. However, the flow of the story and the different views presented really helped hold it together for me. In the end, I was looking forward to reading more stories from this world.
This is also my first Smashwords purchase, and I love having the multiple format options.
