Ms. Hellams was born in San Francisco, CA in 1974, but grew up and has lived in Reno, Nevada for most of her life. She currently works as a legal secretary, but is trying to get used to telling people that she is an author/novelist.
She's been accused of being a dreamer, having a childlike spirit, and being a hopeless romantic, and although she's tried to deny all charges, she guesses that perhaps she's guilty on all counts, as all these characteristics seem to come out in her writing. So perhaps, she thinks, she should just go with it.
Aside from writing, she enjoys spending time with her church family at Outlook Christian Church in Reno. It's important to Ms. Hellams to try to make sure that her relationship with Christ is what defines her the most, and to live her life in a way that reflects what she professes to be—a Christian. She believes that man’s primary purpose on this earth is to serve the Lord by helping His people and sharing the gospel.
Ms. Hellam's future goals are to make writing a full-time career, to stay humble, and have more time and resources to do the Lord’s work.
