Written to the Author: I am very picky about the books I read. While choosing a book I like to think that it might be one of those books which I will read again and again. When I started reading the book I was just curious about Cooper, I hadn't given thought to Austen's character. Then as I came to know Katherine further in the book I realized that this book had major love triangle scenes coming. I am great fan of Love triangles because its tricky for the author to choose one over another. Obviously then I realized that I loved both Austen's character and Cooper's character so I couldn't read further when I knew there is sad part coming when Katherine has to decide. So I took a half hour break and then realized I had to know what happens in the end. So here I am after finishing the book. Let me tell you I have read very few books on soul mate concepts and then some on reincarnations and old souls. Now it may sound crazy but I believe them to be true, So I like reading books about them. This book was like a chocolate to a chocolate addict for me. I loved the book. I felt I was one with the characters. I laughed and cried with them as they went through the good parts and the not so good I mean sad parts. The icing to the cake was the perfect ending of the book. There could not have been a more perfect ending than the one you provided with. Normally I don't regret bad endings if the book is good. Good endings though are much more satisfying for me. I am more than satisfied with how you ended the book. I am dying to read what you have got next in mind for this series.Absolutely loved the book!!
  • A Demon Made Me Do It (Demonblood Series #1) on June 07, 2012

The concept of demons isn't new to me. But the setting of this book was. I adored Liora and her mortality. I absolutely liked Lucky's demion nature. Liora is human a normal teenager but as soon as the sun goes down her body becomes a demon's meat suit. Liora and Lucky are polar opposites. The only thing they both agree on is Keiron Ambrose. The new boy in town and also the new Demion in Dryndara. Liora can't seem to take her eyes off of him and Lucky finds him attractive. To be or not to be? Is the question that haunts both of them when Keiron seems to like both the demon and the human. But both Lucky and Liora are in for a spin when they find out Keiron's secrets. Turns out messing with a demon/human girl while keeping a few truths from her are bad for a certain demion's health. The writing was good. The characters are amazing. Aside from main characters I found I liked Bones too! The way he handled Liora was hilarious. I definitely would recommend this book to others!!
  • Fire with Fire (Demonblood Series #2) on June 07, 2012

Fire with Fire is the second book in the Demonblood Series. Having read and liked the first book I was happy to read the second as well. The book starts after two months of where the last book ended. Keiron is out on a mission and hasn't returned yet nor has he communicated with Liora or Lucky. Liora is doubtful that Keiron will ever return to her. So when there's a new guy who shows some interest in her she can't help but return his affections. Lucky on the other hand is sure there is something wrong. She thinks that Keiron might be in some kind of trouble and is desperately in need of her help. And she might be right too. The second book in the series goes deeper into Bones and Lucky's relationship. We come to know more about Bones past and what he means to Lucky. Tatiana's secrets are also revealed and some more about her past too! I loved the ending. And cannot wait for the next book in the series! There are some secrets that are better left unknown and some truths that shouldn't ever be told. Blood will be shed. Friends will be betrayed. Enemies will be unleashed. Dark secrets will be revealed. Love will blossom. Friendships will be tested.

I wouldn't say I was engrossed from the start. It was kind of a curiosity thing for me. I started liking the book only when it was at the last 20 pages or so. The book got interesting enough after completing half the book for me. I liked Zach's character but Luke's character was the best. Rayla's character was okay. Conflicted thoughts all the time and depending on Zach for most of the time was a bit annoying. The book is good and intriguing enough for me to continue reading the next part in the series though. I look forward to reading what happens with Rayla, Zach, Luke, Jett.
