- The Moon Dwellers
on Nov. 20, 2012
I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review and I am so happy I got to read this book it was just simply great and I want to thank David Estes for letting me read this great story and I cannot wait for more.
I loved this book it was exciting and fresh. I loved the world that was created for these characters it was full of surprises and adventure and I can not wait to see what happens next. I liked that it was told from the two points of view giving you insight to how much these two really are alike, even after growing up in very different worlds Adele a poor moon dweller sentenced to the pen and Tristen son of the president sentenced to a life he hates. they flee only to find each other and suffer many heartaches and victories.
I enjoyed these characters and I was heartbroken for them when they suffered so much in a short amount of time and I hope that the next adventures hold as much excitement but also a bit more triumph.
Tristen and Adele's first meeting was a perfect fit for this book and I had a laugh out loud moment thinking he kinda had it coming sneaking up on her like that hahaha.
I finished this book rather quickly as I just had to find out what happened next I loved the fast pace and I just could not get enough. Thank you again to the author for the opportunity to read this awesome books and I would recommend it to any one who wants to read a fun adventure.

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review so here goes.... I really liked this book it was an interesting concept and although I had a few harry potter flashbacks at the beginning it was a very small portion that was alike. Elves, Dwarves, Wizards, Dragons, Swords and so many other things rolled into the old world charm that goes along with it made this a very fun and exciting read, also I must add the sword fighting was very good I don't know what it is but I love a good ol' sword fight :)
Young Danny plays a card game called Knights but the game becomes very real when Sabrina Drake shows up at his school and Danny and his friends learn of the gift of sight and decide to become a knight of the Light. There is something big on the horizon but that helps Danny have many friends with him at his training I liked all the characters but Danny and Chris were my favorite they had a very strong friendship which I found very cute and I know that Chris will be a big part of the journey now faced by Danny and all the people of the Light. I liked the pace of this story it mived quickly but not to quick if that makes sense overall a very good book with an interesting concept that I am indeed invested in I look forward to the next installment.
Thank you to the author for allowing me to read this book I was entertained and enjoyed the ride with these characters

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review and I must say I really enjoyed this it was very different from things I have read in the past, it was fun and sweet but all the while there was an underlying doom and Caryn faced it with such grace I was very interested after the first few chapters. I liked how everything came together when Caryn and Kia met and they saved each other more than once I was glad to see them both grow and face a future they feared together and save many lives. as a science nerd I was impressed by all the research talk and DNA experiments that really kept my interest and I was pleased with how the author made it all come together.
Thank you very much to the author for allowing me to read this awesome book I would recommend it to anyone looking for something new and fresh.

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review and I LOVED this book so much and I am so so grateful to the author for allowing me to be a part of this read to review and this book has quickly climbed to the top of my favorites list.
WOW, AWESOME, and FANTASTIC just a few of the words that come to mind after reading this first book in the saga. I wish I could give it a hundred stars but as my system is out of 5 i guess 5 out of 5 will have to do. This was so fantastic and ended way to soon for me that I am on the hunt for the rest and they will be on my e-reader shortly I can't wait to lose myself in this fantastic world Gordon has created.
Right from page one I was curious and drawn in. The writing was so well done I felt like I was right there, the raw emotion Alexa felt pored off the page and sometimes I wished I could reach in the book and hug her. From the beginning I admired Alexa , She was determined to protect her sister and after everything with her mother I was glad to see her silently accept what she needed to do:
"No, I thought, I had never trusted her before when she told me that everything she did was for my own good. I would trust her now, even if it was too little too late"
Alexa was also a fantastic warrior and not just a fighter, but someone willing to fight fort the truth and what she believes in, putting others first and putting her life on the line without a second thought for the good of others:
"I didn't even really know her, yet I would give my life for her.Not because I'm altruistic, but because it was who I was; who I had always been. I suppose that is what made me a true warrior"
Okay, Okay I may have a little bit of a girl crush but I can't help it and I am so not ashamed!!!!
Well now we get to the real greatness of the book...The band of hotties surrounding Alexa. Tommy the rich and charming Vampire, Jackson the werewolf the werewolf who helped her escape and was her only friend for a long time and then..........Kayden *Sigh* the handsome Greek God looking bad boy who understand Alexa like no one else can. I liked Jackson a lot he has a great sense of humor and he would do anything for Alexa and her sister to keep them safe, but Kayden and her complete each other and I don't want Jackson so be sad but well I don't want to spoil it for those of you who haven't read it but they Kayden and Alexa need eachother and the sooner they realize it the sooner they can defeat evil.
I wanted to read this book forever I just never wanted to reach the words the end it didn't seem right. This book made me laugh out loud, cry a little and gasp in shock several times and if I am being completely honest I may have drooled a bit when Kayden was introduced. I just cant say enough about how much I liked this book....it was like an emotional punch in the face and I mean that in a good way. So if you have not read this I STRONGLY suggest that you do, you will not regret it.

I was gifted this book from the author in exchange for and honest review so here it is.
First of all I want to say that I loved this cover it really drew me in and I am such a sucker for a horse I just loved it, also since the horse really is in the book I must also say that I love a man on a horse :).
When I started reading I thought that the different points of view jumping around would be confusing but it was done in such a way as to reveal small bits of information to the reader and I was not confused at all. I found the idea new and fresh and I was refreshed by the fact that it was different from so much I have read in the past and I really liked that. I liked Keira and her love interest Marco and I was rooting for them all the way to come together and defeat evil, but unlike many other books I have read I didn't feel a connection to any of the other characters, that being said I liked Keira's growth throughout the book she let a very painful event make her stronger and more determined instead of letting it beat her.
There was a bit of a slow period for me but when Keira returned and plans were made I was sucked right back in.
Overall I enjoyed this book and I would like to once again thank the author for the pleasure of reading her novel.

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review
This was a different idea for me and I liked it. But I must first get this one thing off my chest, I am sure that the main characters names was intended to be cute... well I did not like it, Calvin and Caledonia of Cal and Cal as they are called at the beginning which was changed to Cal and Cali but it also went back and forth so sometimes I was confused for a second, but now that I have said that I really did enjoy this book
It was interesting to see Caledonia go from a wild girl in the woods to a city life and her discovery of all things modern, but when she gets closer to Calvin he learns just as much as he teaches. I was pleased to see their affection grew to love they were curious about each other at first and after spending time together and many cute moments, Caledonia lets down her guard a bit and after everything she had suffered I didn't blame her for being careful:
"She feared heartbreak much more than she feared loneliness."
And weaved in this adorable love story is Caledonia's past and why she was hidden in the woods, which was very cool and exciting and I don't want to spoil anything but trust me it is great and I was caught off guard, happy and little sad by the end and I am curious to see what happens next so I will be continuing this series.
Now because I thought this was a really great part of the story I want to share this quote with you:
" Like a light at the end if a tunnel, She had signaled a way out of the darkness that had become his life. She'd made him question his shiftless existence and want to be a better person. His grandmother had guessed right, she was the one, and he could never go back to the way he was before she came along."
Overall this was a good read, thank you to the author for allowing me to read this book it is a fresh read for everyone.
