Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in the small town called Rapid City South Dakota. This is the home point of many generations of Native American tribes alongside the historical monument called Mt Rushmore and many more amazing wonders of the world from across it prairies to the thickly wooded Black Hills. I'm proud of my Native American heritage passed down to me through the bloodline of my Mother, all the way back to a sixth Grandfather named “Chief War Eagle.” But don't let the name fool you he was a peace maker. American History of the plains Indians is amazing. They have inspired me often and came out in my two-part novel called “Dark-Moon.”
When did you first start writing?
I started writing in college during my creative writing class. However I didn’t strive to the next level until my stepmother wrote her first book. It was her writing that inspired me to write more.
