Steven Bird

I was born and raised in Eastern Kentucky and lived there until I graduated high school and joined the U.S. Navy. It was a blessing being born and raised in a place where I could grow up with a foundation in self sufficiency. There I would learn to hunt, fish, camp, and repair or build most anything from scratch.

Having joined the Navy to earn money for college, I had the privilege of traveling the world several times over. After leaving the Navy, with a Bachelors Degree and my professional flight certificates in hand, I pursued a career in professional aviation.

Today I work full time as a captain for a large domestic regional airline. I have both current and previous experience in military and federal law enforcement as well.

I do most of my writing while traveling for work on overnight layovers, which probably explains the theme behind my first novel.

My wife Monica and I are building and growing a small homestead in beautiful East Tennessee, where we have three wonderful children.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. I hope you enjoy my books.
