  • There Goes the Neighborhood; Earthly Fantasy/Science Fiction Short Stories on Oct. 23, 2013

Definitely a worthwhile read. Nice to see some stories that are NOT about vampires or zombies. Liked baby dragon cover and the two stories (#1 and #20) that it relates to. Liked the humor especially. I liked most the 'happy' stories such as the 'early retirement' story with elves and ghostly dinosaurs, and the 'talking turtle' story. Liked the private eye story. Liked the diversity of story subjects. Liked to see 'technology' based sci-fi stories mixed with fantasy stories. Liked to see both first-person and 3rd person omnipotent voices. He should have labeled this as 'urban' fantasy, maybe. Looking forward to his novels.
  • Government Men on Dec. 25, 2015

Unusual, complex, and humorous compared to its entertaining prequel Secrets of Goth Mountain, Government Men is packed full of super powered mythical creatures, psychic powered humans, high-tech human-eating aliens, and of course civil servants over their depth. The most unusual aspect of this novel is that it and its author appear in the novel itself. The story takes place on a somewhat altered contemporary Earth that is full of strange possibilities and characters. Highly recommended.
