Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, John Wesley Braswell was raised in Morganville, New Jersey. He attended Ottawa University; eventually earning degrees in History and Education. He also studied screenwriting at The American Film Institute.
Mr. Braswell has been writing since age 19 when his first short story was published in Essence Magazine. He has since had poetry and short stories published in various print and online magazines.
He has also written a number of plays, that have received productions in Los Angeles, New York, and New Jersey. He has won national and international awards for his screenplays. Mr. Braswell’s novel "Death Notes" is his first published, full length work. He currently resides in Central Georgia.
Rebecca Forest is a middles-aged woman dying of an incurable disease. She then begins dreaming of a young girl in peril. Though she has almost given up on her own life, she feels compelled to save a child in mortal danger, a child she has never met, a child she can only see and touch in her dreams. Still she decides to try, to save a young life and redeem her own.
