Nicole Lambert

Ever since she was eight years old, Nicole Lambert has loved to write, and even before then she has been told of how great of a writer she is. She's always dreamed of becoming a published author, jotting down many novel ideas, most of which will never be published. During her sixth grade year, she had started many novel ideas and abandoned all of them. It wasn't until the summer before her seventh grade year, at the beginning of July of 2009, when she came up with the idea for her first Threatening Souls novel (originally titled Sacrifices: The Curse of Roseway). That novel took her approximately one year to write, ending on May of 2010.

Currently, she is rewriting her Threatening Souls novel, and she has published her first ever eBook exclusive called The Five Stages.

Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
The first thing that I want to mention is that I was born in the Bay Area near San Francisco in California; however, I moved to Cave Creek, Arizona when I was three years old and therefore grew up in the Sonoran Desert. In a way, this didn't really influence my writing other than the fact that the intense heat in the summertime and the lack-of trees overall made me want to explore various other parts in the world, hence why my writing very rarely takes place in Arizona.
When did you first start writing?
I have been writing for as long as I can remember. It was in the third grade, where I was eight, when I started really getting into writing and have wanted to pursue being a published author. Back then, the concepts I wrote about were not nearly as dark as they are now, and I remember how I used to dream of my books being turned into movies (which by now I know will probably never happen). Since then, my writing has improved immensely.
