Although Suzy is a Yorkshire lass at heart, she left her home town of Rotherham to move to Portugal with her family when she was ten.
The Algarve continues to be her home, which she shares with her husband (and childhood sweetheart!), Michael.
Suzy's career began soon after completing her A levels when she was offered the position of trainee journalist for a local English newspaper. Her love of writing developed and a few years later she moved on to become assistant editor for the region's largest English language publisher. Since then she has also worked as the editor of one of the Algarve's most loved monthly lifestyle magazines. Early in 2010 however, Suzy began working as a freelance writer and author. She has since written six books for Young Adults: Raven, December Moon, The Lost Soul, The Ghost of Josiah Grimshaw, Daisy Madigan's Paradise (novella) and The Temporal Stone and a seventh chick lit book called Forever Fredless.

This is so totally different from anything I've read recently and I have to say... WOW. Patti Roberts is a truly remarkable writer. The way she weaves her tales among the story is extraordinary. I can honestly say I was in awe of the way she managed to do it. I'd love to have that talent. The story was so unusual... in fact it was a story within a story, or should I say a story within a story, within a story... I could go on because there are several different tales going on in the book at different times in history. And it's not confusing, Patti Roberts has managed to intertwine these aspects beautifully. I also love the fact that Lisbon has been incorporated (I live in Portugal, but I won't say anything more!) My only criticism is that I NEED to know what happens next!! I can't wait for book two!

My goodness, Michelle Isenhoff is clearly SO VERY TALENTED. She sets the scene so incredibly perfectly that I felt like I was right there with the characters amid all the action. This is such a fantastic read. After I'd read it, I said to my husband that I could imagine this book being studied by children at school... it's that amazing! This has got to be one of the VERY BEST books I've had the pleasure of reading this year... actually, make that EVER. Simply superb!
