After 13 years has passed Zina is still looking forward to getting her hands on Laylah. Zina tried to kidnap Laylah and failed, because Laylah was rescued by Donil Silientshadow. Donil makes Laylah feel things that she has never felt before for an man. Donil instantly knew when he saw Laylah that she was his future mate. Laylah is trying to figure out who she is and why her father hates Donil along with his family. Laylah is very a very bright young woman who does not know what she is, nor does she know that Donil is a were. Donil is the Alpha of his clan. He fights Zina just to save Laylah's life because he loves her. Laylah learns how to stand up for herself and tries to fight for the one she loves. Laylah figures out that she can actually mind speak to other were creatures. This did not really surprise her at first, because she was too worried about Donil to think of anything else. She did not know that the wolf who was trying to help her get free was her own Uncle Stefan. Lakisha Spletzer is an amazing author. This book is fast paced and a very much enjoyable read. I was so glad that I got to read this book and I am looking forward to read book 2. I recommend that everybody get this book and read it. I think that they will enjoy it very much. I know that I sure did enjoy it.
  • Jewels on Nov. 13, 2011

Jewels is mental strong but only has one problem, she cannot shield her own mind from other people’s thoughts. She needs to have another person called an anchor to shield her mind. Her and her anchor Jeremy has been pair together for five years. They are both called psionic, they can communicate telepathically along with being able to move things with their minds. They can also teleport too when they want to get somewhere. Jewels meets Dex when she gets posted to do a job at Fort Blackwater. She brushed against the Felines minds ever so lightly and Dex felt her mind brush against his. He teleported right to the spot where she was. He touched her and broke the connection she had with her anchor and then Dex’s father the King came and touched her too. They both invaded her mind and she was in a lot of pain during this. Jewels almost died from this encounter, but Dex saved her life. Jewels and Dex are both wanting each other and do not really know why until they are together a lot more. Dex just realized that Jewels is his bond mate for life. Dex finally claims Jewels as his during the choosing ceremony, because Jeremy can no longer be Jewels’ anchor. Dex becomes Jewels new anchor when they go into battle with the Lupines. Jewels blow up all but one Lupine ship and she tells Beta Lastbite that if he tries to harm her husband again she will kill him. After the battle is over Dex goes in front of the Psi-Ops and tells them that he is taking Jewels with him back to his home planet. This book is fast paced and keeps you interested until the very end. I thought that this book was written amazingly well. Lakisha Spletzer is an amazing author that knows how to use her talent in writing. I really hope that there is a second to this book because I cannot wait to see what is in store for Jewels and Dex. This is one book that I think everybody should read, along with having it on their kindle or bookshelf.
  • Immortal Desires (a Well of Souls novel) on March 28, 2012

Immortal Desires is absolutely amazing. Once I started reading this book, I could not put it down. I wanted to finish, because I wanted to see how it ended for Deanna and Ian. They made the perfect soul mates, showing love to one another. I loved how Deanna was sent back in time to be with Ian. How he treated her and how she fought back, before they realized that they was soul mates. THen how she was taken away on their wedding day and put back into present time. She fought to get back to Ian and when she finally gotten back to him, they was married. How she gave Ian four children, even though only three of them lived. THen how it all worked out in the end and Deanna became an immortal like Ian. Laura Eno is an amazing author and really knows how to capture her audiences' attention. I hope that she writes a second to this book, because I would really love to find out what happened to Ian, Deanna, and their clan. This is a must read for everyone. I know that I enjoyed it and I am sure you will too. In all honesty she is right up there with Diana Gabaldon, with writing a book like this.
