Catherine Hayes

Biography

Catherine Hayes is a freelance writer who spent many years teaching high school students to write in her English class. A newcomer to professional writing, she most recently completed "Goodbye, Mother," an autobiographical short story that explores the troubled relationship she and her mother shared. Catherine also penned Teach Like a Duck, a survival guide for new high school teachers. The book takes a practical, no nonsense approach to managing the classroom in spite of all of the demands placed on teachers.
