Lisa Hapney

Biography

I was born in West Virginia, spent the second part of my life in Florida, lived a while in the Virgin Islands and the rest has been like a traveling sideshow, rarely settling in one place for too long.

Since I’m originally from West Virginia my first book, A Lack of Civility, is based on the split between Virginia and West Virginia during the Civil War. This is the first book I wrote almost 20 years ago after reading a box of my grandmother’s romance novels, but life happened and it ended up sitting in a box for almost two decades. It is also my first experience with epublishing so I decided to dust it off and see how things worked out.

I'm currently working on a fantasy satire that I'm rewriting and a novella that I hope to have out in the next couple of months. Somewhere along the way I'll finish the timeline and outline for what I hope will be a 9-book science fiction series (more details to follow...)
