4.5 stars I recieve a copy of this book in exchange of an honest review. Before I start my review, I must say djinns are amongst my favourite mythological creatures. So, know that this review is written by a fanatic djinns fan.I liked the book. It was extremely well written, no boring parts full of description. The only thing I have to say about the writing is that the mind-to-mind conversations should be outstanded from the main text so there is no confusion about it; and also a few cliché situations in the middle, nothing too bad. About the story I must say I found interesting the fact they didn't know each other aside from that battlefield experience. It wasn't "Oh, my! She's a princess, let's kill her. BOOM so in love I can't kill her now" kind of thing. What I didn't like was the water djinns being blue. It takes the humanity out of them, makes them aliens (that they are, but let's forget that for a minute). This was one of the best begining of a love story that I read, if not the best. Her atittude, her scars... I love everything about her. The "I'm only here to get pregnant" mood was hilarious and absolutly genious. The cowboy bar, I never saw that coming. What I saw coming was the end. It was too predictable, but still I was glad I was right (Mrs. Khan, don't worry, I kinda have this thing, I almost always can see it coming right from the start). The vilan had vilan all over his/her face.
