Lynn Anselmo

Biography

Al and Theresa Robert have collected and preserved buildings from the River Road and nearby communities for more than 40 years. Al uses his passion to create successful businesses with local flavor in the restored historical buildings while Theresa adds the finishing touches.

In addition to The Cabin Restaurant, their projects include the The Cajun Village Cottages and the Cajun Village and the buildings that house River Parishes Community College both in Sorrento, Louisiana.

Each business venture is a series of original Acadian buildings discovered, purchased, moved and renovated. Many of these historical treasures were saved from demolition. All provide tourists, locals and students a taste of what life was like more than 100 years ago in Ascension Parish.
