Biography

Yolanda Olson is a USA Today Bestselling and award winning author. Born and raised in Bridgeport, CT where she currently resides, she usually spends her time watching her favorite channel, Investigation Discovery. Occasionally, she takes a break to write books and test the limits of her mind. Also an avid horror movie fan, she likes to incorporate dark elements into the majority of her books.

What was the inspiration for your latest book?
Life events. I took a dfiferent approach with Saving Marley in the fact that it is NOT paranormal or scifi in anyway. I also decided to not to use chapters because to me, this is one big chapter of her life. A lot of it is very close to my heart because I know how Marley feels. We're the same I guess you could say. I was lucky enough to have the beautiful Samantha Smith agree to be on the cover and I'll be enternally grateful to her for it.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I like being able to control the aspects of my story. I mean I always wanted to be able to put stuff out for people to read and hopefully think of it as original and wondering if they'll be another book coming. I like being able to do the covers and the editing and not having to worry about my story being rewritten because "this person" said so.
