Thomas M. Eishen holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education, social studies, with an emphasis on United States history from Indiana University at Fort Wayne.

He belongs to the Friends of the National Park at Gettysburg, The Civil War Trust, and Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.
