4.25 stars This was very well written and it really messed with my mind (in a good way) because I found myself wanting Emily and Master to be together which is seriously crazy. It was so painful reading about Emily trying to find her place in "the world outside" and I could feel her pain and when she gave the edited journal to the psychiatrist that was fascinating. Excellent book with really compelling writing and great characters.

This was a really awesome book. It was chock full of many of my favorite m/m themes but it presented them in such a delightful way and the characters were so real to me that I desperately wanted that happy ending for them. It wasn't perfect but I didn't notice the length and didn't want it to end which is the mark of a good story for me! Excellent debut and worth every penny (and several hundred more lol)!
