Muckydum - The Story of a Haunted Man on July 27, 2012

A well-woven tale of past and present, with a few unexpected twists. The story is nicely structured and paced to keep the reader engaged throughout. As hard as I tried, I couldn’t fully connect with the characters. I wanted to be annoyed by the self-important Breanna but wasn’t. I wanted to relate to the lovable, quirky professor; I just couldn’t. Deeper character development would take this book from 4 stars to 5. The version I read is in desperate need of a professional proofreading. Words were misused (e.g. “breathe” rather than “breath”), and the number of run-on sentences distracted from the story.
