Vance Hawthorne

Biography

Vance Hawthorne, a veteran journalist, is a former a business editor and writer at a reputable Midwestern newspaper. A natural writer -- his parents met in college at journalism school -- he was born into a family of wordsmiths in Des Moines, Iowa. His works include the recently released Hostile Environment: Lethal Projectiles Fomented by Media Stereotypes. He also penned Invoking the Avatar Doctrine: Genesis, Development & Decline of the U.S. Economy, 1776-2012, another nonfiction tome. His first book, A Fateful Discovery, is a historical fiction novel of political intrigue.
