Biography

Hi, just a little about me. I’ve always loved books and anything to do with books. Libraries and bookstores have long been some of my favorite places to visit. During school and any place, I have lived the librarians have known me by name. Being a voracious reader, I love all types of stories Romance, Fantasy, Westerns, Suspense; I even read technical manuals. From time to time, my sister would tell me that I have read enough books to be able to write one. I would tell her, there is a big difference between reading and writing a book. One day I finally gave it a try. Several failed attempts and a few short stories later I finished my first novel. I pitched my story to some publishers and was rejected. Then a few months ago I read a short story and at the end of the story was a link for Smashwords, so the rest isn’t history as they say but for me a bright future hopefully.

Describe your desk
I don't have a desk. I like to write out my first draft in a spiral notebook. I take my notebook with me everywhere so I write where I happen to be at the moment.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing in high school. I joined the literary club at my school and wrote short stories and poems for the book the club put out. I continued to write poems, but I didn't write any more stories until 2006. I wrote my first novel in 2006. I sent it off to a couple of publishers, but it was rejected. My manuscript sat on a shelf for years until my sister gave me a Kindle for my birthday. I read a short story written by a Smashwords author and visited the site. Smashwords opened a door for me, and I am trying to put the opportunity to good use.
