Donna Champagne

Since I was 14 years old, I have been fascinated by human/bear encounters in the wilderness. A lifelong dream of visiting Alaska came true in 2003 when my husband, my sister and I took a cruise up the Inside Passage. We visited several cities along the Alaska Panhandle and ended up in Anchorage. The highlight of the trip was a raft ride down ten miles of the Chilkat River through the Bald Eagle Sanctuary. Alaska is one of the most beautiful places on earth and I hope to visit again someday.

During the past 45 years, I have acquired over 30 books featuring true stories about bear attacks on people. Some of the victims lived to tell the tale and some didn't, but they were all heart-pounding adventure stories that I devoured ravenously because I love the excitement of human/animal encounters in the wild. They point out the resilient nature of the human psyche and the strength and stamina of both bears and people.

In addition to the aforementioned, I am also a digital imaging artist and I offer my services to other authors in need of ebook cover art. Please view samples on my web page:
I would be happy to work with you.
