A Sudden Outbreak of Magic
on Dec. 22, 2011
Overall, the book is engaging, but much of the first 60% seems to ne "The Last Sorcerer" chopped into pieces and stitched back together with the names and locations changed.
For me, this had two effects--I kept thinking "I've read this before," and "it's choppy & a bit rough."
I found our main character to be miss-characterized in the beginning of the book, compared with her actions throughout the rest of the book.
There are a few other "continuity" errors which bothered me.
Overall it's a fairly good read, but not nearly as good as some of his other work. I was a bit disappointed.
