Modern Sorcery is a blast! Fun from beginning to end. The dialogue crisp, the characters well thought out. Great action and fantastic one liners. Whether at the beach for the weekend or bundled up indoors with snow falling outside this is the book to read. I understand that this is the first of a series which is great! I can't wait to catch up with Jonathan Shade again to see what he has in store for me. Keep them coming Mr. Jonas!

Let me start of by letting you know that I am a bit biased. I'm a big fan of short stories, mainly because you can read them almost anywhere at almost any time. Really enjoyed Modern Sorcery by Gary Jonas and downloaded Quick Shots shortly after - only $0.99 how could I not, right? I expected to like a couple and shrug my shoulders at the rest, that's what usually happens. Imagine my surprise when I like almost every story in this book. Horror, fantasy (which ain't my cup of tea though I did try to read them - another bias of mine), suspense, it was all in here. Like Modern Sorcery some of the stories had laugh out loud dialogue - I'd recommend this book just for the Hitman stories alone that are at the end of this book. Nothing gross, nothing graphic, just fun stories that were a pleasure to read, I think that you will find this to be the case as well.
