I'm not normally a fan of post-apocalyptic survival stories, but I loved this collection. These aren't horror stories; maybe human interest stories?

Really enjoyable, well-written historical whodunit. I enjoyed the author's collection of short stories--Voices from the Past--so much that I thought I'd give his novel a try. I wasn't disappointed. I hope to see more from Mr. Orchard.
