Yolanda Renee

Biography

The picture is me working hard on the Trans-Alaskan Pipeline too many years ago to count. Now I'm a struggling writer, and a former blog talk radio host. My first novel is a mystery set in Alaska. Alaska is the only place I've ever felt at home. I was once privileged to live and explore there. My novel is a mystery with a touch of romance and horror. Mysteries are a favorite genre and I was highly influenced by the Nancy Drew Mysteries when growing up. A vivid imagination has always been a blessing and writing a habit, a hobby, and a calling.

My blog talk radio show was all about creativity. I interviewed authors of all genres / published traditionally or independently. It's an opportunity to learn the secrets of success, and it was fun! Check out my shows at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/yolandarenee

I wrote my novel with the intention of sharing it only with family and friends, and then wanted to reach a wider audience. Being an indie author is a struggle--a challenge, but isn't a good challenge the spice of life? I think it is, and I'm proud to be part of a new movement to make the creative art of writing available to a wider audience!
