This was a new direction for me. I found it full of descriptions that I enjoyed, and while I became a bit lost at times, I did found it fun to read. I will be trying more of Lorie's books.

I sure learned a lot about dogs, people who own dogs and it made it interesting as I am someone who has not been at ease around dogs, especially large ones. I enjoyed the mystery line as well as the descriptions of the people and enjoyed the plot. It was not a way-out there plot, but plausible.... that I like. OK, Ellen O'Connell, I am ready for more.

It was a story that you really had to follow with its twists and turns. I enjoyed this very much. The characters were well defined and it made me want to get to learn more about them and the direction their lives take in the future.

I love books that help me to relax and just enjoy. This was one. Christmas stories should have happy endings like this one. Loved it.

The characters made me laugh, in a good way. I thoroughly enjoyed them and their interactions. The ending had a twist... good reading
