This new author that has emerged will take you for a ride on a classic tail of Zombie Apocalypse action. I would love to see this saga becoming a movie in the future.
The very first book I read as a youngster that was longer than 10 pages was "Pet Cemetery" by Stephen King. (10 cents from the Salvation Army!) I'm a very visual person and I was instantly hooked into reading for life with that book. I think it was due to the overwhelming amount of detail that King puts into his novels. The amount of detail this author put into his book reminds me of that.
Bruce Clothier is VERY descriptive in A Darkness Shattered and that's what makes it good. I need to know a character's weaknesses and quirks in order to fall in love with them. I need to know how they feel when they approach something and what they are thinking. He writes in exactly this manner. He gives a back-story for characters that enter the scenes much like one of my favorite ended television series "LOST" The only thing that disturbed me about this book is it ended much too quickly. We hope to be hearing more out of Bruce very soon - from the staff at zombietalk.net
