My first thought was to write coffee table books because I rather like them, and I felt the blending of photography and writing was just the creative outlet I had been seeking. That is where I got the idea for Mojave Memories. I sort of fell into another writing venue when a friend sent me several sketches of lizards. At first, I simply wanted to throw together a few paragraphs that were fun and would lend themselves to the fun drawings. Eventually it grew to something larger.
