Jo Michaels is...
Hi, I'm Jo. Let's forget all the "Jo Michaels is blah, blah, blah" stuff and just go with it. I'm a voracious reader (often reading more than one book at a time), a writer, a book reviewer, a mom, a wife, and one of the EICs at INDIE Books Gone Wild. I have an almost photographic memory and tend to make people cringe at the number of details I can recall about them and/or their book(s). My imagination follows me around like a conjoined twin and causes me to space out pretty often or laugh out loud randomly in completely inappropriate situations.
I have a degree in graphic design, and my journey to the end was one few students who begin that program ever complete. However, this was one case w ... read more

Michela O'Brien was born in Milan, Italy, in... well, let's say some time in the last third of the 20th century. In Milan she grew up, studied, worked as a teacher, made friends and wrote, commending thoughts to page, imagining plots and characters, recording events in her life, noting observations about the world: stories, diaries, letters... In an era before personal computers, internet, blogs and social networks, it was pen and paper and she still carries a notebook and a pencil with her to sketch ideas on the spot.
She moved to England in 1994 and lives at the edge of the beautiful National Park of the New Forest with her husband and two sons.

Writing is my art. Like any artist I create my work with my imagination and I present it to you that way. It may not be the “conventional” way of writing but I am the “Aritist” of my novels and I am ECCENTRIC in all the right ways! You know my books are different… I want you to feel like you are being TOLD my stories first hand from the main character in my books. So they are written in a “face to face” mode. So you may see the word “ain’t“ instead of “isn’t” or the word “wanna” instead of “want to” becuz (instead of “because”) this is how I imagined the story and I write what I imagine. You can call it “Interactive” writing. I BELIEVE WORDS ARE POWERFUL!!! I ... read more

Best way, to explain me is being a surrealistic person. Because, I typical am finding myself using surrealism in my approach to the arts--not because I like the style but because it is actually part of my personality, it is the way I think.-- Yet, at the same time I am logical and rational, and that where the enigma is. How can someone be logical and rational and be a surrealist?
