Cynthia Rosi took Puss-in-Boots as a role model and emigrated by herself from Seattle to London, England, after graduating from the University of Puget Sound. In London she worked as a reporter and wrote two books, Motherhunt and Butterfly Eyes. Rosi came back to the US in 2003. In 2007 she won the Ohio Writer’s Contest short story prize for Salmon. Her journalism, creative non-fiction, and short stories have been published in anthologies, online, and in print magazines. Rosi is currently an MFA candidate at Antioch University, Los Angeles.
