The Zombie Chronicles

The suburbs of Denver were no place to stay during a zombie outbreak, even worse the nuclear fallout was making the place downright uninhabitable. Max and his companions needed to get out of town fast, before they joined the ranks of the living dead or the just good old fashioned dead. This is book two in the Zombie Chronicles Trilogy, not a stand alone novel.

Max barely made it out of Chicago alive and was looking forward to a long recovery in Iowa with his kids. Picked up by Colonel Draper he expected a quick return to his friend Bill’s home and chance to catch his breath. It is not to be, however, and he is compelled to use his abilities to go on one last mission; to find the Zombie-master, the man responsible for creating the outbreak.

Nick is alone, a situation with no one to blame for but himself. Six years ago his father had left him and his sister, vowing to return to them…and he never had. But Bill had returned; remote and sullen at losing his best friend, Bill made little effort to raise his best friend's son, isolating himself with his new job: Being a soldier. When Nick found himself in trouble, he had no one to turn to.

A year ago Nick and his companions were pulled into an opaque dome in the middle of the prairie. Now they have emerged with a quest; Find the young man’s father. Nick is not concerned with larger picture; he wants only to know why he lost his parent and what happened in Florida so long ago. Other factions have different reasons for finding Max and seek to use him for their own ends.

It was the start of another ordinary day at the office for Max, he was emailing a friend when one of his other early morning co-workers called for his help, someone was having a heart attack. Rushing to the aid of his fallen co-worker Max knew one thing, it wasn't a heart attack. Heart attack victims didn't bleed and didn't start chewing on anyone they could catch either.
