Once a great warrior in life, since his heart stopped beating, vampire lord Marcus Ravenholt has become undefeatable. The lands surrounding the town of Ashdale are plagued by his dark minions, zombies, skeletons and dire wolves, as Marcus seeks to satisfy his insatiable lust for battle and the desire to feel once again. Jazlo Kipling, a young priest in the Order of the Sacred Watchers, feels a stirring deep inside himself, a calling like he’s never felt before. Together with his two childhood companions, he joins an army formed for the specific purpose of defeating the vampire lord. With each battle, Jazlo grows stronger and begins to realize the power awakening within himself, but he knows if he is to bring Marcus Ravenholt down, he must keep his faith in his allies and in the power of his Order.
