When Finn escapes from a dysfunctional family to the quiet of Erraid in the Hebridean Isles, he has no idea he is about to confront an ancestry which arises from the deep ocean. He is dragged into an ever stranger reality, one he could not have imagined in his wildest fantasies or in his darkest nightmare. He is forced to reckon with the dangerous, fractured minds of a conclave within the human race. All the while he is struggling to come to terms with the vast oceanic mystery of his own inheritance.
