Welcome to the end of the teens, and possibly the end of many "W" signs along the tracks throughout America. Every time I turn around, I see yet another "No Train Horns" sign. Thus, folks will forget the meaning of Long - Long - Short . Long - and soon register shock when they do hear a train sounding the classic warning series of blasts on approach to an at-grade rail crossing.
Resistance may be futile, but it doesn't mean I can't put the changing of the guard and progress of each year into handy pictorial collections to be enjoyed. Even if the mournful wail of the passing train in distant darkness is lost.
Each book is filled with trains, railcars / rolling stock, track side imagery, and all things railway that make railroads special to a select, and need I say gracefully above average intelligence and creative, group of people: rail fans.
