Genevieve, an aging white Maltese is a bit like Agatha Christie's Miss Marple. She seems compelled to perform her own investigations of curious events in Poochville or in general. Other Pacific Lane, resident, talking dogs are involved. Book 5, "Genevieve; a Sketch of Five Trees" initiates a dream-like quality.
"Genevieve" is not a 'series," in the common sense of that word. The stories differ; especially 1, 5, and 8; such that a reader might like one and detest another, or dislike all of them. Readers might understand that eclecticism helps keep the writer's interest.
