The Harry Logan Mysteries

Harry Logan is a small-time Hollywood movie producer with a sense of humor, a slightly schizophrenic assistant usually named Lilith, and a still-loving and loved ex-wife, Judy, a sharp, gutsy lady. Harry must find his way through old Balkan hatreds to solve the murder of a young Serbian film maker.

The lead actress in Harry Logan's movie "The Versailles Plot," is shot to death with a prop gun during filming. A terrible accident? No, it was murder. Despite repeated warnings from his police friend, Detective Al Lopez, Harry starts poking around to find the killer. A dangerous thing to do.

Harry Logan is a producer of modest Hollywood films. When he decides to make a Western, he rents part of old-time producer Louie Pannetti’s ranch and its ghost town in the Mojave desert for the location shooting. There turns out to be a lot more shooting than just on film. People get killed, and Harry finds himself, his friends, and his movie in the middle of mobsters and spies.
