“The Peace of Bark” is a 4500 word story about a rescue dog and his effect on the lives of various humans who crossed his path. The story is entirely fictional but was inspired by my youngest daughter, her husband, and all of the dogs they have rescued. Although this may not be a true story, it is, I think, a story worthy of being told.
The Naming
Series: Dog Stories, Book 1. Price: $1.99 USD. (Free until Dec. 31!) Words: 4,180. Language: English. Published: February 22, 2014. Categories: Fiction » Inspirational
What is the history of those who cross our paths? What are their stories? "The Naming” is 4000 word fictional history of two stray city dogs who adopt a person. My oldest daughter did not want a dog, certainly not two large dogs. None-the-less, they came to her. Everyone who adopts a rescue dog wonders about the past life of the animal. Even though fictional, her dogs now have a history.
